Bhaktapur, The Kamalbinayak-Chareli-Nagarkot road – the only alternative road to go to Bhaktapur’s touristic area Nagarkot – now has turned to be in decrepit condition within one year of its construction.
The road which was constructed by the Rural Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Project with the funding of the Asian Development Bank and UK’s DFID came across deterioration in a short of time. The road section was constructed at the cost of around Rs 60 million.
There are several cracks and potholes on the Kamalbinayak-Nagarkot road with the length of 11.5-km and breadth of 10 metre, said Damodar Dangal, a local.
