Nawalparasi, Majority of the youth force in the hilly region of Nawalparasi are found to have been leaving the country for foreign employment.
More than 90 per cent of the youth in 17 hilly VDCs of the district are out of the country, with most of them in foreign employment, according to data made public by the Indreni Development Forum and Himalayan Community Development Forum. The majority of the youth going for foreign employment are men.
In Naram VDC, of the 450 households, more than 120 households have a member out on foreign employment.
The organizations have been helping out those going for foreign employment including the families of the migrant workers.
